‘Control of your health – working on your lifestyle’ workshop
Making employees aware of their individual control of health, and offering them perspectives to take action, that is the objective of the workshop ‘Control of your health’. During this short, practical meeting, the participants are made aware, inspired, challenged and informed about the influence of their lifestyle on their vitality level.
Before this workshop of 2 hours, participants will start by completing the comprehensive lifestyle survey we developed. This will immediately give them an insight into their position in the six lifestyle areas that have been scientifically proven to influence our vitality. These areas are: nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, work satisfaction, social relationships and spirituality (see image).
They will bring the results of this test with them to the meeting. Once here, this first spark of awareness will be followed by information about why and how these six lifestyle areas influence their vitality.
But knowing is not the same as wanting, and does not automatically mean doing. That is why the participants will be challenged to work together to find their intrinsic motivation. Afterwards they will note down one or more achievable steps for themselves to feel more vital, at work and at home. This is the first step towards systematic behavioural change, in order to achieve a healthier, happier and more vital life, with more durable employability.
After this training, employees will have basic knowledge about:
- Their current level of vitality in the essential areas of life
- How the six lifestyle areas influence each other and our vitality
- Their intrinsic motivation to work for behavioural change in one or more lifestyle areas
- What they will work on to achieve a higher level of vitality
