Confidants

Confidants

Colleagues or clients who show undesirable behaviour such as bullying/mobbing, discrimination, (sexual) intimidation, aggression and/or misconduct in conflicts can occur in every organisation, with absenteeism as a result. If you have access to a confidant, your employees will be able to tell their story in a confidential setting. The confidant has a strict confidentiality obligation.

Work activities

Our trained confidants facilitate individual employees as well as the organisation in dealing with undesirable behaviour: For the employee: For the employee who is dealing with undesirable behaviour, they provide a safe space to share their concerns and analyse the problem and the actions that have been taken, determine the possible next steps and support the employee in taking these steps. Follow-up steps can vary from providing support to find people within the organisation who can ‘help’ to looking for a mediator, offering support in approaching the complaint committee (formal process) and/or providing referrals to psychosocial, judicial or other kinds of help. The focus is always on empowering the employee. For supervisors and management: Our confidants can give advice to help you prevent undesirable behaviour. The point is not only to formulate a policy, but also to create support and grounding in your organisation. Furthermore, by registering cases on undesirable behaviour, targeted interventions can be implemented.
